A Little About Me

I met my husband when we were just 13 years old and he quickly became my best friend and my first love. Eight years later we married. And now after almost eight years of marriage we have four beautiful children...2 boys and 2 girls. They are 10, 6, 3 and 2. They are a handful and keep us quite busy! For the most part I stay at home with them...I have a part-time job from home managing my parents books and insurance claims for their business. They are very flexible and understand that my children come first. I couldn't ask for a better job for a stay-at-home mom! I also do some personal training when I get the opportunity. I became a Certified Personal Trainer after having my first son about ten years ago. Exercise and fitness is my passion but doesn't always make it to the top of the priority list with a busy household of six!

I've thought about writing a blog for a couple of years now but never felt that I had the time (or talent for that matter). But in the last year my life has been filled with women that are an inspiration to me by their relationship with God and the examples they set for their children. My view of my role in my children's lives has changed and has been more purpose-filled. I don't want to let the stress and the chaos of the day pass me by and not appreciate the blessings that my children are. Too often I let my to-do list of errands, laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, preparing dinner & driving my kids to and from activities run my day. And sometimes that overwhelming list gets me stressed and crabby with the kids & my husband. I've realized that I need to re-focus and let the relationships in my life be an investment of time, teaching & unconditional love. I want my kids to to be taught of God's love, grace and righteousness by their parents and I want to be an example of that for them.

So I intend for this blog to have little stories about my every day life raising four very active children and the trials & lessons learned. As well as the joys and chaos of motherhood, marriage and friendship.
Some days might inspire a good laugh and others might cause tears, but regardless I hope that it touches another mom and lets her know that she's not alone in this journey!
