Look who's already 8 months old!!! She is a doll and is such a happy baby but she has become mobile and doesn't have much interest in sitting still for my photo shoots :) Adalynn has found her voice and we hear her rambling "mamama" and "dadada" for most of the day. I just want her to stay this age. She's so much fun! I don't look forward to the to toddler years. It seems that she might be a very opinionated little lady.

So, I had a very embarrassing "mommy moment" yesterday. I was pumping gas at Costco with Adalynn while my little ones were at preschool. It was very cold and windy out so I got back inside the car and gave Addy a snack while the gas finished. I got out of the car and put the nozzle back at the pump and heard a "beep" sound assuming it was someone else's keyless entry. I got my receipt and went to get in and ALL the car doors were locked with my keys and cell phone sitting in the center console and my sweet little baby in the backseat!!!!! I started to panic and found the attendant explaining to him that I did NOT lock my car but somehow I heard the car beep and all the doors locked and that my baby was inside. He must of thought I mistakenly locked the doors before getting out and that I was nuts. He said he was going to call a locksmith and he paged the manager at the main store. There was no way I was going to sit here and wait on a locksmith......it was freezing and Adalynn was awake and beginning to cry! Of course this would happen when I don't have any of my other kids with me that could easily unlock the doors!
The nicest (and not to mention, very attractive) guy came over from Costco and called 911 telling them there was a child locked inside of the vehicle. They assured us the police would be right there. The man tried to comfort me telling me that I was not the first person that this has happened too. I felt the need to tell him that I didn't lock my keys in the car and have no idea how they locked after I got out with my remote entry inside the car. But, it really didn't matter at this point I just wanted them to hurry up and get the doors open! An ambulance showed up first, two paramedics hopped out and asked if I was ok. One of them said that thankfully it was a cold day and we didn't have to worry about Adalynn being overheated. They said it would be just a few more minutes before the truck got there and they could open the doors. Meanwhile at least a dozen cars line up to get gas as the police arrive. Now, there are about 6 police officers and paramedics around me (slightly excessive). :) I was SO embarrassed!!! I had to fill out a form confirming that I owned the car and once the doors were opened they checked my drivers license to make sure I wasn't stealing the car or the baby. It just took 2-3 minutes for them to get the doors unlocked and there was Adalynn just sucking her thumb and staring out the window. They were all very, very kind! THANK YOU TO THE SOUTHLAKE POLICE!
The gas attendant said that he had seen cars being accidently locked by another person's keyless entry with the same make of vehicle. I don't know if he was just trying to make me feel better but I will NEVER close all my doors again when I only have Adalynn in the car!
In other family news.....
The kids have been enjoying the beautiful weather lately. We have started Spring soccer, softball and baseball! It's going to be a very busy season but I'm looking forward to watching the kids play their sports.
Last week Hudson learned to ride his bike without training wheels. Pretty impressive for only 3 1/2 years old! Sorry it is sideways...its from my phone and I couldn't figure out if I could rotate it.
Trinity had Donuts for Dad this week at her preschool. This is her last year and it is so hard to believe she will be starting Kindergarten in August! It feels like she was just a baby yesterday. Adalynn reminds me of Trinity as she is just as happy as Trinity was as a baby. Although, now Trinity is a very smart, sassy and bossy 5 year old!
She is a "Daddy's Girl."
