September Wrap-up

I can't believe today is the last day of September!! This month has completely flown by! And I am so excited for FALL...October is my favorite month of the year. I love the cooler weather, pumpkin candles, fall decorations & baking!

September has been very busy! Our Saturdays have been filled with Trinity and Hudson's soccer games and Kambree's softball games. Stephen & I really enjoy the going-going-going on Saturdays. It keeps the kids busy so there's less fighting and less mess at home :) Then we can use Sundays to relax and catch up on all the household chores.

Kambree and her whole team have done awesome winning their first 2 games. She has a couple hits at both games. I think she's so excited she can't remember what to do next. Now, we just have to remind her to drop the bat and RUN!!  Her game was rained out yesterday:( But she can't wait for the next one!

Kambree at her first softball game. Go Bobcats!!

Hudson(#2) and his soccer team, The Thunder!

Adalynn and my best friends son, Koleston, at the park.
So precious! Wish they could stay this little forever!

In late August, right before school started, I decided I wanted to move Adalynn out of our room. She was sleeping pretty well for an 8 week old but I thought she would do even better upstairs in her own room. Problem was that we have 3 rooms and a game room upstairs. The girls share the largest room and Hudson and Brayden had their own rooms. I was really hesitant about putting the boys together because they're eight years apart and I felt Brayden might need his own space. As I thought about the options and prayed about it I decided that I needed to talk to Brayden about sharing his room. I explained to him that Adalynn needed her own room to get into a good sleep schedule and for naps and so on and that Hudson needed to move to his room. Brayden already had bunk beds and Hudson was thrilled to sleep on the top bunk! Brayden was wonderful about it and said the only thing he really didn't want to lose was the game room. Of course, the most important thing to an 11 year old boy is the location in which they play video games. :) So, it worked out for everyone and the boys now have a "boy room" decorated with in a vintage car theme. And I got very busy dreaming up Addy's nursery. I have been preoccupied all month with it. I will have it all finished by the end of the week and will share that on my next post!

Today, my hubby took the two little ones to the last home game for the Rangers of the regular season. The 68 degree weather couldn't be more perfect. They were soooo excited! Trinity cheers for "Kinsler" and Hudson adores Josh Hamilton. He runs around the house swinging an imaginary bat pretending he is Hamilton as he runs the bases in the living room. He asked at least a dozen times if Hamilton was going to hit a home run today so the fireworks would go off. :) And Trinity loves the Rangers! She will sit on the couch and watch the game with her daddy and name the players as they come up to bat. I have some true sports fans on my hands!

I'm off to make taco soup and pumpkin chocolate chip bread. My favorite fall treat!! Then a thousand loads of laundry and vacuuming :( boo!
Have a great first week of October!
