FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL

Yesterday, September 5, was the day we've been anxiously awaiting for the last 2 months.....  the First Day of Preschool!
The morning started out quite early~ 5:40am to be exact! Adalynn woke me with her little grunts from the monitor. She went back to sleep but Mr. Hudson entered my room soon thereafter saying, "Mommy, I want some apple juice!" I quickly led him back to bed persuading him it was the middle of the night. I figured getting up that early cant't make for a great first day of school, especially with no naps! Hudson still naps on most days. I'd like to give up naps & just put him to bed earlier but for now it's best for both our sanity :)
After Hudson went back to sleep I laid down on the couch hoping for some quiet time but of course that didn't happen. Kambree came down at five after six saying she couldn't sleep. She seemed to think it was still the night before and that she had never fallen asleep. I had her lay down on the other sofa since returning her to bed would probably wake Trinity who shares her room. I didn't need anymore kids up! So I started getting ready and had plenty of time to pack 4 lunches, pick out their clothes and have everything in place. Believe it or not we actually got to school ten minutes early!! That is a first (and might be a last). :)

When we arrived at school Trinity went right in and was very excited to see some old friends, especially one little boy in particular. Her teacher last year requested they be placed in the same class. I guess they work well together. Hudson was a little nervous about going into a different class with new teachers and kept asking when I was picking him up and where would I be. He was really quiet with his teachers & wouldn't speak when they'd ask him a question but he was ALL smiles when I picked him up! They both had a great first day and are looking forward to going back tomorrow. And I am looking forward to taking them back!:)
It's amazing how fast the time goes by while they are in school. I can never get enough done. But, I will treasure the time I get to spend with just me and Adalynn.
