Two Weeks and counting...

That is until the kids start school. I have mixed emotions about it. I love not having a schedule or feeling rushed and having the time to do whatever I want with the kids. On the other hand, with 5 kids at home all the time the house is NEVER clean, there is a zillion loads of laundry to do almost daily, by the time the kitchen is cleaned up from one meal it's almost time to prepare the next one, and someone is in tears at least once an hour!! Ohhhh, the craziness!!

On those days when I'm wondering what time is late enough for a glass of wine, I remember that Trace Adkins song "You're Gonna Miss This"

"But you're gonna miss thisYou're gonna want this backYou're gonna wish these daysHadn't gone by so fast
These are some good timesSo take a good look aroundYou may not know it nowBut you're gonna miss this"
Haha, I can't imagine missing the fighting, the crying & the all the chaos but I'm sure one day (in a very, very long time) I will. For now, I'm focusing on raising my children is a season of my life and the amount of time we have to teach them & impact who they become goes by way too fast!

For what's left of the summer my two oldest kids are planning on "Mommy & Me" dates, something we've done the last two years. They each pick somewhere or something they would like to do & I leave the other kids with a babysitter so I can have some time with just them. I wish I could do this every month!! It's so special to me and them. Last year Kambree chose to go to the American Girl store and have lunch at the Galleria and Brayden chose to  see a movie and do a little window shopping at a near bye mall. We shall see what they pick this year. :)

What I am definitely, without a doubt, looking forward to is preschool starting!! These two are a handful! Being 15 months apart, they are great playmates and worst enemies all at the same time. :)

Don't let him deceive you....He is ALL trouble!!

But, they both adore their baby sister!

BLESSED beyond measure!
